Well,
Another image CD you may well ask? Yes, but unlike all the other
CDs we have ever seen, this one contains virtually all hand drawn
& some Ray-traced images. In other words pictures that have been
created rather than just scanned in. Believe me it took some time
to collect this lot, suprising since Deluxe Paint has been around
for years. Endless scanned images are all very well, but try
printing them out on a less than £1000 printer, they always look
dull and lifeless, these images do not, they are created on the
computer and look great printed out! In fact, this CD is superb
used as a colour clipart CD, as many images are 32 or 16 colours,
great for clipart. The majority probably originated on the Amiga,
the first high quality computer, but many are from the PC & Mac
too.
You will find many thousands of images on this CD, covering a
multitude of subjects. These are logically arranged into
AGA & ECS drawers with Ray tracings & brushes covered as well.
As far as we can acertain all the images are Public domain &
have been collected from many such sources.
All images have been saved as .lbm (iff) so are instantly
useable on an Amiga (remember AGA images only 1200/4000).
They are also no more than 8 characters so the majority should
load into a PC as well (eg Graphic Workshop), the exeption to
this of course being HAM images or HAM8 (Amiga only)
Have fun!
Brian.
